Uni247 Messenger is a complete Instant messaging solution for your PC/mobile device. It supports MSN , ICQ, AOL, Yahoo! and Jabber messaging systems.

You have to setup uni247 and/or ICQ and/or AOL and/or MSN and/or Yahoo access data before you use the program. Just put the same access data as you have on your desktop PC. Read the setup section of the User's Manual for more information.

Maybe your uni247, AOL, ICQ, MSN or Yahoo account was not correctly created from your PC, or is not correctly configured. Try the settings again, or try using our test accounts:

Port: Standard AOL port is 5190
Login: Your AOL Id, which you've received after the registration for this service (e.g.: "alex2003")
Password: Your AOL password
Encoding: Encoding of the message. Use CP1252 encoding to send and receive non-Latin characters from West European alphabets and CP1251 for East European (Cyrillic) alphabets.
What settings should I use to connect to ICQ?
Host: As a rule this is a login.icq.com
Port: Standard ICQ port is 5190
Login: Your ICQ number, which you've received after the registration for this service (e.g.: "12345678")
Password: Your ICQ password
Encoding: Encoding of the message. Use CP1252 encoding to send and receive non-Latin characters from West European alphabets and CP1251 for East European (Cyrillic) alphabets.
What settings should I use to connect to MSN?
Host: As a rule this is a messenger.hotmail.com
Port: Standard MSN port is 1863
Login: Your e-passport, which you've received after the registration for this service (e.g.: "bob@hotmail.com")
Password: Your MSN password
Encoding: Not using in MSN
What settings should I use to connect to Jabber?
You should insert the full login information including the server address information for "Jabber" service.
For instance:
Login: test_account1@jabber.org
Password: test
What settings should I use to connect to Yahoo?
Host: As a rule this is a scs.msg.yahoo.com.
Port: It must be 5050.
Login: Your Yahoo! ID, which you've received after the registration for this service (e.g.: "imptest100")
Password: Your Yahoo! password.
Encoding: This option is not used in Yahoo!
What are my charges to provider while using uni247 Messenger?
Uni247 Messenger has nothing to do with SMS service. Uni247 Messenger uses your GPRS connection only, and you pay only for the amount of information you are sending and receiving; as a guide, each message is usually only about 0.5 Kb.

Samsung phones allow you to set Internet connection in two places: for the whole device, and specially for Java applications that use Internet connection under Applications\Java World\Settings. Without the correct settings for Java applications you won't be able to connect with uni247.
Back to topI can't load uni247 via Bluetooth or IR on my Samsung D500
We have emails from users who can't load applications via IR or Bluetooth from the D500 - this is a known issue for the Samsung D500. However, the best way to load uni247 is via Wap: http://ims.uni247.com
You can download software with a serial cable.
Please note that for the D500, the JAD file is enough; there is no need to download the JAR file.

I'm using a Nokia 6230. When it starts to download the file for uni247 installation over-the-air (from the WAP link) an error message appears, "Invalid File"
The problem is that Jar and Jad files cannot be sent over the air to the Nokia 6230. We advise you instead to send them using the PC Suite program. You can find this program on the site of your telephone producer (www.nokia.com specially for Nokia 6230). Please note that you have to use IrDA or Bluetooth also.

Possibly you are using a Sharp device. Please use cable, IrDA or Bluetooth to send uni247 installation files for your device, as it doesn't allow over-the-air loadings.
